Now that the rough sketches and concepts were recorded on paper, it was time to digitize & polish. The process took a few days to finish and was rather easy since I basically drew it on paper already. For the sake of this exercise, I used Obey's color schemes.

The transition from paper to computer was smooth and I was able to quickly and accurately bring my paper visions to life.

The character was carefully blocked out before adding any major details. This way I was able to accurately draw the correct stylized proportions before getting to the fun part! Blocking is crucial in character development, whether your using 2D or 3D software. It's a very agile process and in the end can save you a lot of time.
Styleframes
To further enhance illustrate my vision, I made 3 style frames to see how it would play out when I would get to the animation & post stage.

I concluded these 3 would be the "main attraction" in our animation, so I paid special attention to this process. I wanted to highlight the features of our mock website with the available department on the team. I wanted to make each scene include my little guys and have them doing some wacky things.
Storyboard

Now I see why Rebecca sugar and the crew started out as storyboard artists, these were a blast to do! This part took a day to complete. Everything is now in place to start animating and creating!
